The Freemasons Task Force
Freemasons Taskforce members helping out in the community
The Ash Wednesday fires in 1983 resulted in the establishment of the Freemasons Task Force as a community needs response group. Since then Freemasons have assisted their local and state wide communities through the Task Force in many ways such as assisting property owners following bush fires, planting trees, repairing huts in the high country, cleaning up cemeteries, painting homes and repairing fences.

Some of the organisations currently assisted by the Freemasons Task Force are the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, Heartkids Victoria Inc, the Summer and Winter Blood Challenges, Relay For Life, the Variety Club Bash and Variety Club Kids Christmas Party, Extended Family Children's Christmas Party, Canteen - National Bandana Day and the Special Olympics.

Freemasons Task Force volunteers can assist your local community in various projects such as helping charities with their collections, managing vehicle parking at a project site, directing people to food, water, medical aid and toilet points, judging sporting events, operating BBQs and refreshment points, helping with the removal and repair of destroyed assets following a natural disaster and selling merchandise to assist in fund raising.
